BOYS U15

The Under 15s narrowly lost by the margin of 1 point to a very strong Gloucestershire side, beating a strong Worcs side and the weaker Avon team.

Avon were lacking their number 1, Peter Joyce but Essex were far too strong for them across the board. All the boys played their hearts out looking superbly turned out in their new Essex Match shirts sourced in an unbelievably short timescale by Suzanne Matthews – deserving of a mention here!

Dave Webster did a great job galvanizing the boys into stern competition in some hard fought matches and I don’t think I have seen such a strong bonding team turning out for Essex – well done Dave and the committee for taking a different approach to County squash this season. The boys showed great support for each other going right through to the reserve matches. The team may get through as best runner up in the group on a point score of 49 against Glous 50.
